Founded over 30 years ago, The Rooflight Co is a successful, employee-owned business with approximately 50 employees, designing and manufacturing rooflights and roof windows for the UK construction / specification market.

As Business Development Executive you will be responsible for key account management, sales conversion and developing new business for new and existing customers.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will identify and map out target clients then undertake business development activities to engage and turn those target clients into new business.
In the first instance you will be largely phone and office based, but will have opportunities to meet clients face to face as the role develops. You must have the ability and confidence to work independently and pro-actively, whilst being part of a strong team.

The Role and Accountabilities…
· Convert sales enquiries into confirmed orders while generating new business through targeted revenue streams
· Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs
· Build strong customer relationships to promote repeat business and referrals
· Manage sales pipeline to follow projects and close sales
· Pro-active feedback and data management to assist in better business analysis
· Deliver an exceptional experience for our customers
· Be able to work to set targets
Qualifications and Experience…
· Strong negotiation and communication skills
· Excellent telephone manner and ability to build rapport
· Experience of pro-actively following up customer enquiries
· Expertise in consultative sales techniques (ideally technical)
· Articulate and persuasive with excellent verbal and written communication skills
· A motivated self-starter with a strong focus on results
· Ability to work independently whist being a strong team player
· Driven and energetic, with a sense of urgency and a competitive nature
· Customer centric approach
· The ability to follow a process to achieve targets
Desired…
· Building product / Architecture/ Construction industry experience
· Knowledge of CRM/sales reporting systems
· Technical sales background

Working hours: Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm
Location: Bourton on the Water
Salary: £28,000 (OTE £40,000)
