Job Title: Lead Civil Engineer - Water Infrastructure
Our water company client is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to lead a Civils team on various projects based out of Snodland.
Key Skills and Requirements
* People management skills are essential.
* Knowledge of potable water networks and treatment is preferred.
* Experience in utilities or a similar infrastructure sector is required.
* Extensive experience in leading, mentoring, and supervising civil engineering teams.
Role Overview
This role is crucial in our client's Engineering department, ensuring high-quality technical deliverables on capital projects. The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary projects, oversee team performance, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate multiple projects with a multidisciplinary approach.
* Lead in contract management, risk assessment, and health and safety compliance, including NEC contracts.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and foster team development and good communication.
* Oversee project workloads, resources, and team performance, providing guidance and mentorship.
* Implement safety strategies aligned with CDM2015 regulations.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts and promote innovation in design and construction methodologies.
* Ensure technical excellence, approve solutions, and maintain quality assurance standards.
* Manage team capacity and skills, and oversee contractor and supplier engagements.
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
* Chartered status (preferred).
* Experience across infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.
* Proven leadership in design, delivery, and project management.
* Technical expertise in infrastructure assets including treatment works, pipelines, and hydraulics.
* Salary up to £71k, 25 days holiday (rising with service), and up to 10% pension contribution.
