My client is recruiting for the position of Assistant Management Accountant located in Wareham to cover a 12-month maternity leave.
Your new role
Reporting to the Management Accountant and supporting the Management Accounts team, you will assist by handling budget preparation and monitoring, processing financial entities, and generating monthly accounts. Key duties will include assisting with management accounts, posting monthly journals, analysing financial data, supporting budget holders, ensuring accurate billing, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. Additionally, the role will include completing balance sheet reconciliations, managing the fixed asset register, and conducting fixed asset audits.
What you'll need to succeed
- GCSE Maths and English A*-C
- You will be AAT Qualified or working towards AAT or similar qualifications
- Experience working as part of a Finance team in a finance role
- Strong experience of working with computerised accounts systems and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- You need to have a dynamic and proactive approach to your work
- You'll need excellent communication and team working skills, with the ability to build relationships with the wider finance team and non-financial teams.
