Strong background and understanding of Fabrication, Welding, NDT and Inspection. Supporting the development of the Method of Manufacture (MOM) for containment manufacture. Development and creation of technical specifications for the required manufacturing solution to be procured. Supporting the Factory Design and Layout activities (FD&L) to maximise required efficiencies while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards Collaborate with the design team, offering expertise and insights to ensure that containment shells are designed with manufacturability considered, optimising for efficient production processes. Collaborate with design engineers, production personnel and external vendors to integrate equipment and systems into the manufacturing process. Lead process validation and verification (V&V) activities, including equipment/process qualification. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for assigned processes. Provide technical support to manufacturing operations, troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions as and when required. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions (WIs) and training materials for manufacturing personnel. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and best practices. Essential Skills At least 5 years industrial experience in working in a manufacturing role with a strong background in Welding, Fabrication and Inspection. Understanding/Use of MRL or other process/product maturation techniques. Proven track record of successfully leading technical manufacturing projects from concept to implementation. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems, including CAD/CAM software and ERP/MRP systems. Experience with FD&L, process capability assessments, optimisation studies and lean manufacturing techniques/principles (Six Sigma, PFMEA). Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines. Knowledge of safety, quality and regulatory requirements applicable to manufacturing operations. Must be able to obtain UK security clearance status Desirable Experience Qualified to Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or above.
