Corporate Paralegal – strong graduates considered Corporate Paralegal - Liverpool Corporate Paralegal – This growing team is looking to hire a corporate paralegal whose responsibility will be to deliver support to the corporate M&A team. A broad range of candidate is being considered from bright LPC graduates with strong academics to more experienced paralegals who are looking to forge a career in corporate and / or commercial law. Summary Job title: Corporate Paralegal Location: Liverpool Salary: Up to £28,000 Reports to: Team Leader Previous Experience: Ideally candidates should have experience of working in a corporate team particularly supporting an M&A team. Experience of corporate due diligence or preparing ancillary documentation would be a major advantage. Experience in other transactional areas such as commercial property or banking will also be considered. Nature of Work Corporate paralegals within the team are usually involved on a range of transactions – usually M & A, though one of the teams does conduct a considerable amount of private equity work. Typically, the tasks given to paralegals within the department range from assisting on due diligence exercises, including the managing of data rooms. Paralegals are also involved in the preparation of ancillary documentation such as stock transfer forms, powers of attorney and any other forms which may be required to support the deal. Legal research is also a significant requirement of the role. Applicants must possess excellent attention-to-detail and organisation skills. The corporate team often works to tight deadlines on high-value deals so candidates are expected to be capable team-players able to demonstrate real resilience where necessary. Progression All roles are advertised as paralegal roles and are not tied to a training contract. That said, the team has already made offers to members of the team who joined on the paralegal program.
