EC&I Technician
Toro Recruitment is seeking an EC&I Technician to join a large-scale waste gasification power plant. The successful EC&I Technician will play a vital role in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical, control, and instrumentation (EC&I) systems to ensure efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities of EC&I Technician:
* Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and digital control systems.
* Test and calibrate EC&I systems and field equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Maintain detailed records of EC&I activities within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Provide technical support to the operations team, ensuring plant reliability and efficiency.
* Supervise and develop contractor support teams for scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks.
Skills & Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 / ONC / City & Guilds qualification in Electrical or Controls & Instrumentation Engineering.
* Hands-on experience with power plant or heavy industrial maintenance.
* Strong working knowledge of steam turbines, boilers, switchgear, motors, drives, and control systems
* Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, digital & analogue instrumentation, and emissions monitoring equipment.
* Understanding of P&IDs, loop checking, and electrical drawings.
