Independent Registered Nurse required for Private home in Essex - Part Time
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team, for a part-time position, working 18 hours per week, primarily split into 2 x 9-hour shifts on set days. This is a permanent position so we ideally want someone looking for long term employment.

About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to use your nursing expertise in a one-to-one setting, working in a family home. We are looking for someone happy and fun to build a friendship and good relationship with the client, and her family, whilst maintaining the professionalism of employment.
You will be supporting the client with her daily tasks, whilst administering IVs, prescribed medicines and making clinical decisions in accordance with nursing protocols, observing for signs of illness, monitoring for sepsis, as well as performing other nursing duties. You’ll manage all aspects of the client’s health, liaise with medical professionals, attend appointments when on shift, and ensure accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation. There will be a good balance of clinical care, nursing duties and enjoyable activities, such as baking, going out, and watching films.

What we are looking for
You will be working 1:1 with the client alone, for a majority of your role, therefore reliability and consistency is crucial, along with having compassion. We are seeking someone looking for long term employment. This is a permanent position, so if you apply, it is important you see yourself in this role long term, as it’s important for the client to have stability and reliability.
You need to feel comfortable and confident in dealing with any emergencies on your own that may arise, as you will be working alone with the client majority of the time.
Shifts will generally be the same each week, and planned in advance. We require you to be flexible; longer shifts or weekend work is not regularly required, but there may be the occasional need to work a longer or weekend shift.
Essential
* Currently a registered nurse with a valid UK NMC pin, with no restrictions
* Recognised UK nursing qualification, with at least 2 years post registration experience
* Right to live and work in the UK
* Must hold a clean full UK driving license
* Must be willing and able to follow clients policy on illness & work eg. COVID or infections diseases
* Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Fun, bubbly, engaging personality with a caring and compassionate attitude
* Be reliable, committed, organised and be able to manage own workload
* Comfortable and able to handle emergencies alone confidently, quickly and efficiently, whilst remaining calm under pressure
* References from previous employments
Desirable
* Experience of complex care for adults or children's (A&E, ICU, palliative etc)
* Have a willingness to learn and develop
* A passion for providing high quality, individualised person-centred care
* A likeminded individual with similar interests, such as baking, going out, and watching films.
Full training and specific support will be provided as part of your role, as well as insurance and a DBS.
