Role: Senior Mechanical Project Manager - Cambridge - Salary: £80,000 - £90,000.00 + Travel Allowance + Pension + Healthcare
Role/Responsibilities:
1. Tender review/validation
2. Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants)
3. Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant
4. Technical submittals
5. RFIs - Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors
6. Value Engineering where applicable
7. Programming of works - using MS Project or Asta project
8. Health & Safety management (RAMs)
9. Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Surveyor
10. Management of variations
11. Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors)
12. Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings
13. Overseeing commissioning stages
14. Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover
The ideal candidate:
1. Ideally have a HNC or HND and good technical knowledge of Mechanical services.
2. Experience working in the Commercial / Government sectors
3. Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, ISg, Mace, Wates, etc.
