We are looking to recruit a home manager for our small residential care home in Goole.
Job Title: Registered Manager
Reports to: Registered Provider
Job Overview:
1. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the line manager for the service.
2. Liaise with the provider ensuring all necessary reports are sent timeously.
3. Create and uphold an open, positive and inclusive management culture.
4. Develop and communicate strategic plans for the home.
5. Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures.
6. Evaluate goals and quality objectives.
7. Provide leadership to the administration, care and nursing, catering, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and people management functions.
8. Conduct marketing of the service and selling its services at the agreed prices.
9. Maintain operations at the standard agreed with the Registered Provider, within the financial budget or other parameters set by the Provider.
10. Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support.
11. Recruit and induct new staff in accordance with policy.
12. Lead, motivate, and direct staff.
13. Conduct staff supervision and annual staff appraisals for all heads of department.
14. Develop staff to full potential ensuring succession planning.
15. Ensure multidisciplinary team working is embedded in the service.
16. Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
17. Take responsibility for your own professional development through performance and development reviews and undertake any relevant training.
Qualifications:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (part of the QCF system).
* Registered Managers Award (RMA).
* Various Level 4 in Leadership and Management for Care Services.
* Various Level 4 in Health and Social Care.
* Previous experience of working in a similar environment.
* Knowledge of leading a team and working within a multidisciplinary team.
* Previous experience of working as a service manager.
* Experience of working with residents who have additional support needs.
* Managing budgets.
* Working in a supervisory capacity.
