Salary £60,000 - £80000 p.a. OTE The Country Garage is one of Northern Irelands leading car retailers and is celebrating its 50th year as a BMW retailer. We are seeking an experienced and successful Sales Manager to manage and develop our sales department to maximise sales and profitability. Job Role Reporting to our Head of Business, the Sales Manager will lead the Sales Department to ensure The Country Garage achieves its target and performance objectives, whilst ensuring the sales team deliver an exemplary customer experience. This position covers both the new and pre-owned vehicle sales departments of The Country Garage and involves the day to day running of a busy car sales team within a BMW Retail Centre. It is a hands-on role that will involve seeking and delivering on sales transactions as well as managing and directing the department towards its objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and agree sales plans and budgets to achieve agreed financial, marketing and sales targets. Manage and coordinate the activities of sales staff to ensure: maximum direct selling time, effective handling of all sales activities and optimal allocation of resource and effort by sales staff to support achievement of sales goals. Develop and interpret company policies to analyse and resolve all sales related problems smoothly and in a timely and appropriate manner. Create and agree motivation and commission plans for sales staff to ensure achievement of sales targets. Provide guidance and training to sales staff to improve their job performance prospecting and customer follow up, sales presentation and closing, time management, sales aids and product knowledge. Establish and maintain administrative procedures and policies to assist the smooth handling of all sales records. About The Role Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following Essential Criteria: A minimum of 5 years Sales Department experience at supervisory/management level, within a franchised retail environment. Proven track record in leading, managing and motivating a multi-disciplined team to consistently achieve KPIs. The ability to operate a professional sales process. Proven experience in effectively analysing and controlling KPIs and expense budgets. Advanced working knowledge of Kerridge and all Microsoft Office packages. Strong understanding of modern motor vehicle technology. In addition, our ideal candidate should have excellent people skills with the ability to provide a first-class customer service experience, while multitasking to ensure efficient management of sales leads and daily enquiries to deliver results.
