ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive Office Administrator to join our close-knit manufacturing team at our Wilmer Street site which includes a foundry and machine shop. This role offers the opportunity to job-share with another administrator, ensuring smooth operations and cover in a dynamic environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting both sales and production, handling diverse administrative tasks in a lend-a-hand culture. Location: Wilmer Street, Central Christchurch
Hours: 30 hours per week, Mon–Fri (7:30am–2:00pm with some flex).
Salary: $26-30 per hour + KiwiSaver.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Supplier administration, including ordering and receipting.
2. Coordinate outwards goods processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch.
3. Assist with quoting, customer inquiries, and order updates, delivering professional and responsive service.
4. Maintain Health & Safety records and compliance, fostering a safe workplace for the team.
5. Collaborate seamlessly with your job-share partner to ensure consistent office coverage and efficiency.
6. Provide general administrative support to sales and production teams, from data entry to scheduling.
7. Embrace a "lend-a-hand" culture, stepping in to assist with ad-hoc tasks across the unit as needed.
RECRUITMENT
The recruitment process will include a phone interview with the HR Manager and then an in-person interview with the line manager for the role. You'll also have a chance to meet the team.
