Cover Supervisor roles in West End Newcastle - NE6 \n\nThis role is ideal for graduates of all subjects seeking experience in the education sector. Our client school is a very nurturing school that puts a lot of emphasis on developing and training staff\n\nWe are currently looking for several graduates to support the school during exam time which is a busy period for cover. However the school are potentially open to recruiting a full time cover supervisor to support them with their needs and for continuation.
They would consider a contract for the right person.\n\nThe ideal candidate is energetic and passionate about education and making a difference, the ideal candidate will also get stuck in and be happy to cover various lessons across the school where needed. Experience is not essential as the school are able to provide shadow days and inductions in addition to access to several courses through teaching personnel\n\n£85- £100 a day, depending on experience\n\nStart Date: May 2025\n\nHours - 8:30 until 3:30\n\nJob Description:\n\nAs a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the school by supervising students in the absence of their usual class teacher. You will ensure that students remain on task with their set work, manage classroom behaviour, and provide support where necessary\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSupervise and support students in the absence of their class teacher.\nEnsure students remain engaged with set work and complete tasks to the best of their ability.\nManage classroom behaviour and address any issues that arise in line with school policies.\nProvide feedback to teachers on student progress and any issues encountered during the lesson.\nFollow school policies and procedures for safeguarding and health and safety.\nSupport students with additional needs, where applicable, to ensure an inclusive learning environment.\nBenefits:\n\nA supportive and collaborative team environment.\nOpportunities for professional development and career progression.\nCompetitive salary.
