An outstanding opportunity for an HR Manager has arisen to join a leading international manufacturing business based on the Isle of Wight.
Reporting the the CEO, this is a high profile role, acting as a conduit to the international group, comfortable working at Director and Senior Manager level bringing new ideas and solutions to our company culture.
This is a broad strategic HR generalist role, key responsibilities will include:
* Developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the company’s business objectives.
* Provide HR metrics and data-driven insights to management for strategic decision-making.
* Promote learning culture, promoting continuous learning
* Ensure compliance with UK employment laws, advising on disciplinary actions, grievances, and dismissals.
* Support employee engagement initiatives to improve retention and job satisfaction.
* Contribute to succession planning and workforce development, ensuring future leadership pipelines.
* Monitor employee absence and return to work interviews
* Act as a bridge between management and employees, addressing grievances, concerns, and workplace issues.
* Overseeing the full recruitment cycle, including workforce planning, job descriptions, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
* Ensure Line Managers adhere to the probation review policy, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Coordinate and manage the annual performance review process, ensuring consistent feedback and development plans.
* Monitor National Minimum Wage (NMW) increases and liaise with payroll to implement changes.
* Collaborate with the Apprenticeship Manager to ensure government-mandated pay increases are applied.
* Maintain and update the HR Handbook bi-annually, ensuring it is legally compliant and aligned with business needs.
* Draft, issue, and manage all HR-related documentation, including contracts, offer letters, policies, and workforce records.
Applicant Requirements
* CIPD level 5 or 7
* Minimum 4 years in HR Generalist, L&D or OD roles
* Strong understand of ACAS guidelines, disciplinary procedures, grievances and compliance.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills
* Strong communicator
* Comfortable being predominantly site based in Ise or Wight and/or Southampton
