Our Client is a leading Scottish food processor, currently seeking an experienced & dedicated HR Officer to be based in their Perth office.
Responsible for assisting the HR Manager with the running of the HR department and supporting business objectives to implement the HR strategy on site.
Reporting to the HR Manager with the Recruitment & Retention Officer reporting into this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible and accountable for the full employee life cycle and involved in all areas of the HR function supporting the HR Manager.
* First point of contact in HR department and expected to work as part of the HR team to provide a strong HR service to the business.
* Daily absence recording and reporting and sharing information with managers as required for return to work interviews.
* Manage absence on site and react to triggers from the HR system and referrals from HR Manager.
* Log return to works and pass any concerns to HRM for referral to occupational health.
* Weekly check of clock in system for lateness, no swipes and report to managers.
* Assist with the implementation of HR strategies, ensuring sound understanding across the site via various methods of communication.
* Conduct investigations as per company disciplinary and grievance procedures.
* Generate HR reports as and when required.
* Responsible for management of new employees into the business and staff accommodation management as well as maintaining a good relationship with landlords.
* Providing general support to all workers as required.
* Diarise and conduct or send exit interviews to all leavers from the business.
* Manage the probationary review process and attend meetings alongside department managers.
* Work closely with payroll to ensure information is up to date and any problems identified in a timely manner to meet payroll deadlines.
* Involved in ensuring compliance of weekly site modern slavery targets.
* Promote welfare and benefits on site.
* Responsible for leading engagement activities and events on site.
* Ensure compliance with ethical standards and become familiar with requirements for ethical audits.
* Engage with the workforce on the shop floor by doing a weekly walk round all site.
* Complete training on Kallidus and any other training and development as required for the role.
* Maintain and update HR systems with any changes as necessary.
* Maintain a filing system to ensure all documents are retained securely and easy to locate at all times.
* Provide holiday cover for HR Manager and Recruitment Officer as required.
* Minute taking at meetings as required.
* Provide administrative support for the HR team.
* Remain confidential on sensitive information at all times.
* To ensure that you comply with the Company Health and Safety policy at all times.
* Any other duties as required.

The role is suited to someone who has strong people skills. The ideal candidate would be CIPD qualified level 5 as well as having a good background and knowledge of working in HR.
