Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Bromsgrove
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our client's dynamic team in Bromsgrove. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities
8. Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
9. Manage customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
10. Perform daily and monthly reconciliations for multiple accounts.
11. Assist with the preparation of journals and maintain ledger accuracy
12. Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing financial reports.
13. Process employee expenses in line with company policies
14. Assist with VAT submissions and compliance.
15. Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
Required Skills & Experience
16. Previous experience in a similar accounts assistant or finance role.
17. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
18. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
19. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
20. Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
21. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
22. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
23. AAT qualification or working towards (desirable but not essential).
