This is an exciting opportunity for two individuals to join our established admin team who are passionate about research and improving healthcare. We have two part-time positions available for three to four days per week. You will support our regional team with a range of administrative tasks across our services such as workforce, strategic development, and business operations. The role will also involve support for meetings and events.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise your workload accordingly, as well as an ability to work effectively as part of the wider team. Significant administration experience and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
The NIHR RDN will build on the successes of the NIHR Clinical Research Network supporting funded research across the health and care system for the benefit of patients, the health and care system, and the economy. The NIHR RDN is a new organisation with new structures, governance, and ways of working. The EoE RRDN is hosted by the Norfolk and Norwich Hospitals NHS Trust and covers the East of England footprint.
You will be expected to work from our office base at Rouen Road in central Norwich. There will be occasional travel to support meetings and events in Cambridge and other sites within the East of England.
The East of England RRDN Administrator is responsible for providing high-quality administrative support for the business processes associated with East of England RRDN. You will provide the day-to-day administrative support to the East of England RRDN office, including arranging meetings and conferences, supporting the meeting Chair on taking forward action points, ensuring good communications with committee and group members and the research community more widely. You will provide support for projects, and in some cases take responsibility for small projects, on behalf of the East of England RRDN Host Function teams. The post holder will provide support to the East of England RRDN Executive Group and Partnership Group in the absence of the Executive Assistant.
You will work on a day-to-day basis within a local team but you will be required to liaise with colleagues in a wide range of groups and organisations, including the Research Delivery Network Coordinating Centre (RDN CC). You will also correspond regularly with the members of Specialty Groups, patient representatives, and with clinicians and researchers conducting research in the NHS.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to work without direct supervision on a day-to-day basis.
