History Teacher Location: Market Harborough Start Date: January 2025 Contract Type: Long Term Salary Scale: £162.31-£251.72 per day (Depending on experience) GSL Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a prestigious school in Market Harborough from January 2025. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in History, coupled with the ability to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment for all students. As a History Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, fostering critical thinking, and encouraging students to develop a deep understanding of historical events. Responsibilities of a History Teacher: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging History lessons in line with the national curriculum. Differentiate lessons to accommodate diverse learning needs. Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement. Contribute to the development of the History department’s curriculum and teaching resources. Ensure the safety and well-being of students in line with safeguarding protocols. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance students' learning experience across subjects. Required Qualifications for a History Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge and a degree in History or a related field. Previous experience teaching History in a secondary school setting. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for a new DBS check.
