Support Worker Location: Leyland, Lancashire Salary: £12.21ph plus increased rates for qualified support worker Type: Full-time, Permanent including sleeps, £56 per sleep rate. They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Worker with forensic knowledge or experience to join our team in Accrington. The Role: As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs, including those who have been involved in the criminal justice system. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored care plans that help promote independence, recovery, and reintegration into the community. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to individuals with complex needs, including mental health issues, learning difficulties, and forensic backgrounds. Develop and implement personalised care and support plans in collaboration with the service user and the wider team. Support individuals in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life, while promoting independence and personal growth. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and regulatory standards. Liaise with external agencies, including the criminal justice system, healthcare providers, and social services, to ensure integrated care. Provide emotional and practical support to individuals, fostering a safe and supportive environment. Assist in promoting positive behaviours and risk management strategies in line with individual care plans. T o be successful in this role, you will need: Experience/Knowledge: A background in working with individuals who have forensic needs or experience within the criminal justice system. Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Understanding of Forensic Needs: Knowledge of risk management, mental health, and trauma-informed care. Qualifications: A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
