Purchasing Assistant - Kintore - 6-month Contract with possibility of going permanent - £14.30 ph -
Our client, a multinational energy company, based in Kintore, is currently hiring a Purchasing Assistant to join the team who will report to the Lead Buyer.
Responsibilities:
1. Support Eastern Hemisphere purchasing team with all purchasing activities.
2. Monitor and expedite late Purchase and Works Orders.
3. Support with the resolution of invoices pending payment in a timely manner, by performing detailed analysis to identify root cause of issue prohibiting invoice payment.
4. Review Traceability Number requests and issue numbers to suppliers.
5. Review tender requests and present information to Buyers with recommended order placement.
6. Proactively monitor supplier performance and develop vendors to improve on-time delivery, product quality and reduce lead-times.
7. Assist inventory control, when required, with any queries in goods receiving.
8. Update procedures, work instructions and manuals as per requirements.
Requirements:
9. Working knowledge manufacturing environment, inventory management, or planning environment.
10. Knowledge of Lean & Operational Excellence
11. Working knowledge of the Oil and Gas in a relevant field
12. Proficient IT skills including MS Word, MS Excel and Other MS Office Applications.
13. Experience in presenting to cross-functional teams
14. Knowledge of Lean & Operational Excellence
15. Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA
16. Continuous Improvement Techniques
17. ERP knowledge such as Syteline.
This is a full time 6 month contract role, fully office based in Kintore, with a possibility to extend and/or become permanent (although it cannot be guaranteed).
Hours: flexible start/end - Mon-Fri start 07.30-09.30, finish 16.30-18.30 & Fri start 08.00, finish 12.30 (if reached 37.5 hrs/week).
