This role will work across several of John Murray Press' more specialist imprints including John Murray Business, John Murray Languages, Chambers, Sheldon Press, Hodder Faith and Laurence King. What you'll be doing You will be providing administrative support to the John Murray Press Specialist imprints to ensure the smooth running of the teams, supporting all aspects of administration, co-ordination and driving of the publishing programme in all media. This will include regular tasks such as organising and gathering information for meetings, taking minutes, keeping metadata up to date, running and circulating reports, chasing any missing material, liaising with our US team, processing invoices, sending out copies for review, ordering gratis copies, processing contracts, and overseeing reprint corrections. You may also be supporting editorial colleagues with things like pulling together information for sales conferences, permissions requests, assisting editors with acquisitions admin, supporting the editorial management team with new freelancer onboarding and assisting the digital team with customer service and alt text. Who we are looking for We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills and a meticulous eye for detail. The ideal candidate will need to communicate well and build positive working relationships with contacts at all levels as they will be working with a wide variety of teams both internally and externally. This role covers a wide variety of work across multiple imprints so we are looking for someone who is adaptable, with good time management skills and the ability to prioritise. It is important that they are able to take initiative, problem solve and work independently, as well as working well in a team.
