JOB TITLE: Machine Operator
Location: Cambridge
Salary: Competitive

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
What you’ll do:
As a Plant Operator, you will work around waterways and utility sites, so working experience within these sectors would be advantageous.
1. Duties required of the plant operator include but are not limited to:
2. Assisting in the scoping of works, preparation of method statements, and risk assessments.
3. Reading and understanding site plans and working according to written or verbal instructions.
4. Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment to protect the environment and avoid pollution.
5. Caring for all equipment, keeping it clean and undamaged; all damage to equipment must be reported.
6. Completing pre-start equipment checks, recording findings, and submitting as required.
7. Completing routine maintenance and lubrication of equipment.
8. Operating any plant or equipment you are trained and competent to use, including specialised attachments.
9. Complying with legislation (i.e. Health and Safety at Work, LOLER, COSHH, etc.).

We are specifically seeking skilled and experienced operators with a Machine Operator background. Experience in forestry & vegetation clearance or waterways, dredging, or piling would also be beneficial.
