What’s the role?
1. Provide IT Support: Address IT-related issues and queries promptly.
2. Troubleshoot Problems: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
3. System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
4. Employee Support: Assist with IT equipment setup and support for new hires.
5. Document: Keep detailed records of issues and solutions, sharing your knowledge with the team to help us all grow.
6. Innovate: Work with our team to develop and implement innovative solutions that enhance our IT infrastructure.
7. Collaboration: Work with other IT team members to improve system performance and reliability.
8. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest technology trends and best practices.
What are we looking for?
1. Experience: Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or in a similar role.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows, Android operating systems, networking fundamentals, and hardware troubleshooting.
3. Tools Proficiency: Experience with IT service management tools.
4. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
6. Team Orientation: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
7. Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
Essential Skills:
1. Hardware and Software Knowledge: Understanding of computer hardware components, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and common software applications.
2. Networking Fundamentals: Familiarity with network concepts, protocols (TCP/IP), and troubleshooting techniques.
3. Troubleshooting Abilities: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
4. Driving license.
Desirable Skills:
1. Scripting: Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automating tasks and creating custom solutions.
2. Database Management: Understanding of database concepts and SQL for managing and querying databases.
3. Cybersecurity: Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices to protect systems from threats.
4. Industry Certifications: Certifications from recognised bodies like CompTIA, Microsoft, or Cisco.
