The role
You’ll provide timely and professional advice and support to our mangers on all aspects of the employment journey, including advising on employee relation cases; co-ordinating recruitment campaigns; supporting on change management activity; and advising on best practice. We have an ambitious People Strategy to implement over the next 5 years, and so this is a really exciting time to join our team and help drive these initiatives forward!
Job requirements:
* Advise, support and coach managers on all aspects of the employment lifecycle including absence management; employee relation cases; best practice for effective recruitment campaigns; wellbeing support etc.
* Allocate, supervise and monitor work to the People Administrators to ensure timely responses to all incoming queries
* Co-ordinate initiatives and projects to drive forward efficiencies and continuous improvement across all areas of people activity
* Support in ensuring that our People policies and procedures are up to date and reflective of current legislation
* Guide managers on the interpretation of our People policies
* Maintain knowledge of current best practice and employment legislation
* Guide managers on change management activity
* Work alongside the Learning and Development Officer to support learning and development activities
What we’re looking for:
* Educated to A Level standard or equivalent
* Appropriate HR qualification / CIPD membership or qualified by significant experience in a HR setting
* Considerable experience of supporting and advising in a HR setting, with experience of advising on employee relation cases
* Understanding of employment law and its application in the workplace
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse at all levels
* Confidence to constructively challenge decisions and approaches
* Strong IT skills including MS Office and experience of using HR systems and platforms
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and demands
* A motivational approach to help lead, coach and support their team members
* A high level of integrity and resilience
