Facilities: High-quality doppler ultrasound, travelling specialist ultrasonography (diploma holder) for complex abdominal scans, echocardiography, digital x-ray, dental x-ray with the instant developer, dedicated dental suite, tonometer, ECG, 2x multi-parameter monitors. Practice performing minor orthopaedic procedures, e.g. fracture repair, TTT/sulcoplasty, TTA, lateral suture. Currently working on plans to install a CT scanner shortly.
Team: They currently have 4 Veterinary Surgeons with Certificates in Internal Medicine, Dentistry, and Surgery and have recently been joined by a new graduate! They have a fabulous team of 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses with certificates in Anaesthesia, Behaviour, ECC, and Physiotherapy. In addition, they have 2 outstanding SVNs and VCA. They have a clinical lead nurse as well as a head nurse who are both deeply passionate about quality. They are open to supporting CPD and any areas you are passionate about developing in. They are passionate about teaching and enjoy being a training practice for SVN placements.
Role: Our client is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team. This role is based on their busy first opinion practice alongside a fantastic team of certificate holders in a range of different disciplines.
What does your day look like?
* They can tailor the role to you! On an average day, you will be assisting the vets during surgical procedures, monitoring anaesthesia, and dealing with post-operative recovery.
* Providing in-patient care, carrying out diagnostic tests, conducting nurse clinics, and assisting with dental hygiene procedures to name a few.
* Should you be looking for further support and further development (certificates, training etc) they can also accommodate this.
Hours: This role is 30 hours per week – however, they're also keen to hear from those looking for something more flexible. They are currently open from 08:00 to 12:30 on Saturday mornings, and therefore you would be required to work a share of these.
Salary: Competitive salary of up to £30,000 p/a (DOE) FTE
