1:1 Behaviour Support Role
Location: Bridgend Area
Setting: Local SEN School
Position: Full-Time (through Teaching Personnel)
Are you a patient, resilient, and dedicated individual looking to make a real difference in a young person's life? Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced and passionate professional to provide 1:1 support for a pupil who displays very challenging behaviours.
The role:
* Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with complex behavioural needs.
* Working within a supportive SEN school environment.
* Implementing tailored strategies to encourage engagement, learning, and positive behaviour.
* Collaborating closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to meet the pupil’s individual needs.
* Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or young people displaying challenging behaviours.
* Experience in SEN settings is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and use de-escalation techniques effectively.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting the pupil.
* Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with staff and families.
* A valid DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one).
