Smile Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a respected SEN school in Wolverhampton, part of the Endeavour Multi Academy Trust. We are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support KS3 and KS4 students with a range of special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support to students with diverse needs, including:
o SpLD (Specific Learning Difficulties)
o VI (Visual Impairment)
o HI (Hearing Impairment)
o SLCN (Speech, Language, and Communication Needs)
o ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder)
o SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs)
o PD (Physical Disabilities)
o MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
o SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties)
* Work 1:1 or in small groups to provide targeted support, ensuring each child’s learning and development needs are met.
* Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to implement personalized education plans (IEPs).
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering a sense of safety, encouragement, and belonging.
About the Roles Available:
* Long-Term Positions: For candidates seeking stable roles with opportunities to engage deeply with student development.
* Daily Absence Cover: For flexible candidates available to cover day-to-day needs.
Essential Requirements:
* Recent Experience in a similar role within an SEN setting.
* Relevant Qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
* Experience supporting students with SEND in KS3 and KS4 settings is highly desirable.
* A caring and proactive approach, with strong communication skills.
* Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 full references covering the past 2 years. Atleast one must comment on your interaction with children.
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through Smile Education
