Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning to our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to developing children’s academic and personal potential, as well as a passion for creating an engaging classroom environment. As a Primary Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning across a variety of subjects, ensuring they are challenged and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching & Planning:
o Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects in line with the National Curriculum.
o Create detailed lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
o Differentiate teaching approaches to support students with varying abilities and learning styles.
o Develop and implement strategies to enhance students’ academic progress and personal development.
* Assessment & Monitoring:
o Monitor and assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments.
o Provide constructive feedback to students, ensuring they understand their strengths and areas for improvement.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' achievements and development.
o Adapt teaching plans and methods based on assessment results to ensure all students make progress.
* Classroom Management & Environment:
o Establish a positive and respectful classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
o Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a productive and orderly learning environment.
o Foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and teamwork within the classroom and school community.
* Collaboration & Communication:
o Work collaboratively with other teachers, teaching assistants, and staff members to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum.
o Communicate regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed about their child’s progress and well-being.
o Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.
* Pastoral Care:
o Support the emotional and social development of students, providing guidance and encouragement where needed.
o Be a positive role model for students, promoting good behavior, respect, and responsibility.
o Address any concerns related to student welfare and communicate effectively with parents and senior leadership when necessary.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and primary education.
* Experience teaching primary-aged children, preferably in a similar role.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs.
* Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children.
* A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to teaching.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience in a primary school setting, particularly in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
* Specialism in a subject area (e.g., literacy, numeracy, STEM) is an advantage.
* Experience working with children with special educational needs or English as an additional language.
