Level 3 Teaching Assistant Required in Preston
The Headteacher of a reputable Primary School located in Preston (Fulwood) is keen to secure a committed and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2. This role will begin from Monday 2nd December. This is a full-time role starting at 8:45-15:25 Monday to Friday, term time only, providing general class support in Year 3.
The Headteacher and SENCO recognize that support staff are vital to ensuring that pupils in school achieve their full potential and become confident, resilient, and compassionate individuals who can make a positive contribution to the local community.
The successful candidate will be working alongside excellent teachers and support staff in this exciting and challenging post. You need to have high expectations of children in KS2 to ensure they have the best start to their experience within the Junior department. An interest in working alongside young children and a good understanding of English and Maths is essential for this role. The successful applicant will also be working alongside children with educational needs, including emotional, social, and mental health needs, together with an interest in supporting second language learners. A caring, flexible, and common-sense approach is important.
To be considered, you must hold a Level 3 childcare-related qualification or equivalent.
Rates of pay are competitive for work of this nature, ranging between £12.90-£14 per hour depending upon experience. Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a number of Primary, SEN, and Secondary schools within the local area.
