We are a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Sales Engineer. This position reports to Head of Marine SAM EMEA and will work in Blandford Forum, Dorset, United Kingdom.

Dometic Marine’s facility in Blandford Forum, Dorset, UK provides air-conditioning, refrigeration, sanitation systems & steering solutions for motorboat and yacht builders.
About The Position
As a Sales Engineer in the Blandford team, you will have a key role within the Marine sales team and will ensure that steering and climate equipment and systems are designed, installed, tested, and maintained according to client requirements, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
Your Main Responsibilities
* Planning, managing, and executing the commissioning of various systems.
* Performing tests and inspections to ensure systems meet design specifications.
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting marine equipment and system malfunctions.
* Ensuring all safety, quality, and operational procedures are followed during the commissioning phase.
* Developing commissioning plans and procedures.
* Conducting site visits to ensure proper installation.
* Identifying and resolving issues during the commissioning process.
* Strong time management, accuracy, diligence, ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks to meet customer needs.
* Travel to customer sites within the UK and abroad to deliver training on technical applications.
* Track and report status versus targets, create reference material and best practice documentation.
* Fault-finding and repairs of vessel electrical, hydraulic and climate systems.
* Demonstrate and maintain expected QHSE standards whilst working on any vessels, on any sites, and promote a positive safety culture.
* Supporting the sales team with troubleshooting, technical support and quotes.

A suitable background would be a
* Demonstrable previous experience in a service engineer role.
* Preferred L3 Diploma/NVQ Engineering or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a marine related role – advantageous.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
* Full, valid driving license.
