Position Summary : Reporting into an Engineering Manager and working alongside Department Heads to facilitate the improvement of strategies for existing and future business product lines. Responsibilities: Working autonomously to generate, report on and deliver project plans for all own engineering activities. Leading site and corporate metrics, including collaborator management, ensuring actions are completed on target. Offer expertise and steer new product introductions on engineering topics to define activity required to deliver the strategy of the project. To act as client liaison when required and work closely with respective counterparts to align processes across multiple manufacturing sites. Share expertise and mentorship to the engineering maintenance team in problem solving issues associated with site wide production equipment and utilities, whilst ensuring compliance with preventative maintenance schedules. Ensure cGMP is applied in the work area and aligns with cGMP through following site SOP’s Offer mentorship and support to a small team of engineers. EH&S: Understand emergency procedures and follow safe systems of work. Ensure compliance with environment, health and safety rules, signage and instructions at all times. Ensure timely reporting and investigation of all accidents, near misses and breaches of rules. Identify and drive energy improvements to reduce the sites overall energy consumption. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Qualifications/Experience: Engineering degree qualified and / or demonstratable suitable experience and qualifications in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering. Experience in the pharmaceutical or a highly regulated industry. Strong project leadership background within a production environment. Ability to utilise project management tools such as SmartSheet etc. Experienced in facilitating change and continuous improvements People leadership experience and collaboration skills.
