About the role: Working in the Digital Services and Service Design team, you will be using your user-centered design skills to manager and develop our digital services, including Parent-Talk, ( our digital parenting support service which supported 469,000 parents and carers last year ). You'll do this by: Managing the development of our digital service platforms including translating requirements into user stories, analysing data about service use and making evidence-based decisions, prioritising and maintaining the roadmap and managing releases Working closely with our Tech for Good partners to design, build and maintain our digital service platforms. Understanding user needs by conducting research using a variety of techniques such as 1:1 interview, workshops, and by conducting desk research. Bringing together multi-disciplinary teams - including our frontline service practitioners, IT, data and governance, safeguarding, and our social innovation agency, ensuring all variations of how to solve a problem are explored. Using design thinking, co-production, and service design methods to develop and manage digital service platforms that meet both practitioner and service user needs. Understanding the landscape our digital service sits within - assessing our opportunities to innovate, right to play and helping us to not reinvent the wheel. Mapping internal stakeholders and make a communication plan recognising the different levels of stakeholder involvement. Keep stakeholders informed of all stages of the design. Thinking about the best ways to measure service outcomes and translating those into practical and measurable goals. Sharing your work beyond Action for Children and share your findings, reflections and insights in public facing blogs and the wider service design community. All about you: Experience of digital platform management. You may be someone who has moved away from website development but with experience of user-centred. design and is looking for a new challenge. Ability to build product roadmaps and maintain and communicate a product backlog. Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team. Knowledge of managing external agencies and development teams together with stakeholders. Experience of research, horizon scanning and marketplace research. Knowledge of online and in-person workshop facilitation. You will have experience of agile working, service design and design thinking tools and processes.
