Weev are recruiting for a Technical Manager to guide the Company and supporting our clients in their transition from ICE to BEV. Key Responsibilities Effectively manage the Technical team, developing, coordinating, and implementing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. Provide technical knowledge of installing EV charge points. Create scope, tender, pricing documents for clients and subcontractors. Review bill of materials on projects for accuracy and value engineering. Work with the sales / technical support team to assist customers through the technical survey and purchasing journey of an EV charge point. Work closely with equipment suppliers, contractors and DNOs acting as the technical expert, ensuring feasibility in everything we do. Overseeing the DNO application process and provide status updates. Liaising with operations teams to ensure that all standards, RAMS, policies, and environmental plans are compliant with legislation and site specific. Be the link between the technical and field operations teams, managing technical survey volumes, timeframes, Service Level Agreements, and customer service up to the point of handover to the field operations team. Support strategic & commercial evaluation of various products and projects. Evaluate the risks, challenges and opportunities for projects which require electrical installations, in conjunction with Operations, and Support. Own and develop technical training processes for people across the Weev group including customer service and technical support. Proven project management skills, with an ability to deliver work in a fast paced dynamic environment. Delivering projects in accordance with processes, procedures, and statutory obligations. Skilled at writing with an ability to explain complex topics and issues in a way that is accessible to a wide range of audiences. Adaptable and flexible approach to plans, able to respond confidently and positively to changing scenarios. Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders and present confidently. Developing new innovative ways of working with efficiency and quality. Participate in the selection of electrical components and materials to ensure high quality finish and consistency on projects. Maintain quality service by analysing and resolving customer service problems, and recommending improvements. Essential Experience BSc Electrical Engineering / Civil Engineering or NVQ Level 3-7 with relevant experience. Strong understanding of BS7671 and associated IET guidance for EV charging. Previous people management experience. Proven project management experience with a keen eye for technical detail. Experience in tendering/pricing projects. Experience with DNO applications in NI and ROI. Experience with grid infrastructure and electrical LV infrastructure. Competent to interpret technical specifications for projects and equipment. Knowledge of technology and regulatory requirements. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Full clean UK Driving License. Desirable Criteria Experience working within the EV Charging industry. Chartered Civil / Electrical Engineer. Preparation of tender documents. Valid CSR card.
