Are you passionate about supporting children's learning and looking to make a real impact in education? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in Whitstable, Kent.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students in their academic, social, and emotional development. This is a rewarding role that involves helping children reach their full potential in a caring and inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
* Support individual students or small groups with learning activities.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning atmosphere.
* Provide one-on-one assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN).
* Foster a supportive and engaging environment to help pupils thrive.
* Work collaboratively with staff to ensure the welfare and progress of students.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children (preferably in an educational setting).
* A patient, caring, and supportive nature.
* Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
* Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
* A willingness to support students with SEN and/or challenging behaviours.
Desirable:
* A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or similar).
* Experience in primary or secondary education.
* Knowledge of safeguarding policies and practices.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
