About the Role: We are seeking tutors to provide tailored academic and emotional support to students with SEMH and SEND needs. The role involves: Delivering personalised 1:1 or small group tuition in various subjects. Adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs. Supporting students in building confidence, resilience, and independence. Collaborating with parents, carers, and professionals to create effective learning plans. Providing tuition to pupils who may be out of formal education and require structured learning plans to help reintegrate into school. Creating engaging, structured lessons that help bridge gaps in students education and boost attainment levels. Contract/Position Details: Location: Within the community or pupils home in Position: SEMH and SEND Tutor Type of work: Contract Start date: ASAP Duration: - dependant on student needs Contract type: Temporary Full-time/part-time: Flexible Minimum rate of pay: GBP22+ per hour Hours: Flexible working hours, depending on the convenient timings for case Requirements: QTS or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential. Experience working with SEMH and/or SEND students. Possess UK classroom teaching experience. A strong understanding of differentiation and adaptive teaching strategies. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box. Have experience working with disengaged pupils.
