Operational Wedding and Events Manager

With a Grade II listed Victorian mansion and elegant event spaces, including a charming wedding pavilion and beautifully designed ballroom, this venue is known for delivering outstanding service at all events.
An energetic and passionate Operational Wedding and Events Manager is sought to oversee and coordinate weddings and events at this distinguished location. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Immaculate presentation and attention to detail are essential.
Please Note: This is a hands-on operational role that often involves working late evenings and weekends, particularly when hosting weddings and events. It is physically demanding and does not involve office-based administrative tasks.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage the execution of all conferences, weddings, and banqueting events on site.
* Organise and lead training sessions in alignment with brand standards.
* Lead the conference and banqueting team to ensure first-class service delivery at all events.
* Manage the set-up and breakdown of event spaces to meet specific function requirements.
* Greet and engage clients to build lasting relationships and ensure satisfaction.
* Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition from initial enquiry through to event conclusion.
Skills/Experience:
* Strong proficiency in both mathematics and English.
* Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry.
* Proven leadership experience, particularly in managing teams.
* Familiarity with Opera software is preferred, but not essential.
* Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £30,000.00 - £35,000.00 per year
