Your new company A UK wholesale merchant is seeking a Credit Control Team Leader. This well-established company has more than 300 individual branches across the UK, catering to the entire spectrum of the market.
Your new role The Credit Control Team Lead job role involves supporting the Credit Control Manager in overseeing a team tasked with managing credit accounts within the wholesale sector. This includes accounts ranging from individual traders to large national corporations, with the goal of optimising cash flow and sustaining excellent rapport with all parties involved. The position covers a variety of responsibilities, such as aiding in cash collection processes, conducting credit evaluations for new account applications, ensuring efficient office administration, engaging in continuous improvement initiatives, accurately allocating customer payments, performing bank reconciliations, proactively recovering debts through various communication methods, resolving invoice disputes, pursuing debt litigation when necessary, and overseeing payment arrangements until their fulfilment.
What you'll need to succeed - Over five years of credit control experience, including a senior role, showcasing advanced skills and leadership. - Quick and effective decision - making abilities, underpinned by sound judgement. - Exceptional time management skills and a highly organised approach to work. - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clarity and understanding. - A passionate and proactive attitude towards credit control, with an ability to see the broader implications of financial decisions. - A strong team player with a talent for building relationships at all levels, coupled with confident telephone communication. - Professional conflict management and a proven track record of managing workloads with accuracy and efficiency. - Competent working with the Microsoft Office suite with intermediate Excel Skills
