Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Duties include:
* Handling and restraint of patients
* Patient husbandry - feeding/exercise/grooming
* Assist the vet and nurse with patient care
* Prepare equipment and areas for surgery/procedures
* Running lab samples
* Cleaning and disinfection of areas
* Preparing the cleaning and sterilisation of equipment
* Storage of drugs and consumables
* Reception and telephone answering

Training
