If you're passionate about making a difference in students' lives, this is the role for you About the Role As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a key role in supporting students with SEN, providing one-to-one and group assistance in the classroom. You'll work closely with teachers to implement tailored learning strategies, promoting positive behaviours, and helping students build their confidence. You’ll contribute to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports every student's unique needs. Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEN, helping them achieve their learning goals. Assist teachers in delivering differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all students. Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and engagement. Support students with behavioural or emotional needs, helping them develop coping strategies. Collaborate with other professionals, including SENCOs, to ensure effective support strategies. Foster a safe, respectful, and stimulating learning environment for students. Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant Role: Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) or in a similar role is desirable. A genuine passion for supporting students with SEN and helping them succeed. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students. A proactive approach to supporting students' academic and social development.
