Job Description This role is based 5 days a week at our Shirebrook HQ. We are seeking a Data Protection Manager to join the Group to advise on the diligent management of personal data. You will be the Line Manager for two Data Protection Advisors and will be dedicated to assisting the business in its day-to-day management of personal data. Ensuring accordance with data protection regulations on a worldwide basis, as well as advising on data-aspects of corporate acquisitions. You will be a subject matter expert in your field, horizon-scanning for new privacy regulations and technologies relevant to our business and collaborating with senior management in response to regulatory enquiries. Also expect to: Collaborate with internal departments, serving as a true partner who makes Data Protection relatable and not full of technical jargon Provide expert advice on supplier due diligence and data subject rights Review policies and procedures, finding new areas we need to explore for example AI. Liaise with businesses we acquire, integrating them into the Group smoothly Lead on data due diligence of 3rd parties Own personal development and performance management for your direct reports Qualifications At least five years' experience in a mid-level data protection role is required - ideally within a retail, financial services, or multi disciplined environment but this is not essential Strong collaborator, able to build and maintain effective relationships with non technical stakeholders Strong knowledge of data protection legislation, including UK GDPR, PECR and European data protection regulations Analytical skills and the ability to be flexible and creative with solutions suitable for the business Diligent and dependable, approaching work with attention to detail Working on own initiative as well as being an effective member of a team Thrives in a high-pressure environment with challenging deadlines CIPP/E qualification is desirable Additional Information Along with your benefits package we also offer a wide range of perks for our colleagues: Reward, Recognition and Opportunities Frasers Champion - Our employees are at the heart of our business and we ensure individuals are recognised every single month for their hard work.
