We are looking for a Senior NetOps Engineer to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital, to assist in the design of Infrastructure services in collaboration with Architecture and Engineering principles.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
* The ability to design, implement, administer, and support infrastructure technologies, solutions and services such as: AWS, Azure and OCI.
* Ensures that the right actions are taken to investigate, resolve and anticipate Network problems.
* Takes accountability of issues that occur and is proactive in searching for potential problems.
* Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code, CI/CD pipelines. Gitlab, Ansible, Python, Terraform.
You and your role
As a Senior NetOps Engineer you will have the ongoing responsibility for the full range of products that make up Network Services.
The role will involve creating and developing our DevOps/ NetOps culture in the team as we transition to new ways of working.
Working in collaboration with a range of internal/external partners, stakeholders and customers you will ensure the operational stability, robustness, resilience, availability, and quality of DWP Networks.
You will actively manage the work backlog and develop reliability improvements as well as leading initiatives to develop the automation of low-value tasks balanced against project delivery demands.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Manchester or Newcastle whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £68,517.
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth over £16,000 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
