Job Description:
Head of Digital Transformation
My client works in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector and is currently undergoing a major digitalization initiative. They have recently transitioned from a 20-year legacy system to D365 Business Central and implemented a new warehouse management system alongside other IT and hardware improvements. They are seeking an experienced individual to lead their IT sector as the Head of Digital Transformation.
You will report directly to the CEO and manage 2 D365 BC specialists (you will have the power to hire these), alongside the Head of IT and 2 Hardware specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Infrastructure Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital infrastructure strategy that aligns with our business objectives, focusing on scalability, compliance, and data security.
2. IT Management: Oversee our internal IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security protocols. Ensure that all systems operate smoothly and securely.
3. Customer-Facing Solutions: Lead the development and maintenance of customer-facing digital solutions, optimizing user experience and data security.
4. Compliance and Data Security: Ensure that compliance and data security are at the forefront of all digital initiatives, implementing robust security measures to protect company and customer data.
5. IT Partner Management: Manage relationships with IT partners, ensuring that services meet our standards, budgets, and timelines.
6. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
7. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure data and systems recovery in the event of disruptions.
8. Technology Roadmap Development: Create and maintain a technology roadmap that aligns with long-term goals and objectives. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption and innovation opportunities.
9. Executive Reporting: Regularly present technology-related updates, strategies, and initiatives at our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings, ensuring that the SLT is well-informed and aligned with the technology direction.
Key Requirements:
1. Previous experience leading digital transformation projects.
2. Previous experience working with Dynamics Business Central.
3. Experience with SaaS products and integration work with WMS.
