QUALITY TECHNICIAN Who we are looking for: Working as a member of the Quality department, in a small laboratory environment, the Quality Technician will be a key team member that helps to deliver critically important aspects of our quality management system. You will take ownership of a planned program of core daily activities. You will also be assigned specific areas of individual responsibility. Job Description: Salary: £25,000 Hours: 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday. Operating hours are between 6am and 11:30pm. Key Accountabilities Factory Quality Control Checks Reporting of any out of spec Raw Materials Finished Product Checks/Analysis Record keeping and reporting Internal audits with root cause analysis and CAPA Development and improvement of Quality Management System Any other relevant duties deemed necessary by the Quality Manager Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience A Level (or equivalent) in a scientific subject (chemistry preferred) Minimum 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent), grade C and above, (chemistry preferred) Experience of Data handling and analysis Experience of working in a busy, ‘hands-on’ based environment Excellent Microsoft Office skills – Outlook, Excel and Word Essential Competencies Scientific and analytical Able to work on own initiative as part of small team Precision, accuracy and attention to detail Logical and methodical approach to investigative problem solving and troubleshooting Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience Degree in a scientific subject (chemistry preferred) A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Quality role Experience of Laboratory Information Management systems (LIMS) Experience of root cause analysis Experience of record keeping and reporting Experience and/or understanding of XRF/NIR analysis.
