We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our team in Weymouth. The Test Engineer will support all test activities helping to ensure that all new ID card printer designs, design changes, and accessories undergo rigorous verification and validation testing. This role will be pivotal in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance before they are launched to the market.
The ideal candidate will have a background in test engineering, with experience in both hardware and software testing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working with the Engineers and Team Leaders to assist in the design, development, and execution of comprehensive V&V test plans for new ID card printer designs.
* Ensure thorough testing of both hardware and software components, including functionality, durability, and reliability tests.
* Collaborate with the R&D team to identify potential design issues and provide feedback for improvements.
* Ensure all test documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with industry standards.
* Ensure that all products meet the company's stringent quality standards before launch.
* Assist in root cause analysis of any issues discovered during testing and work with the design team to implement corrective actions.
* Continuously monitor and improve the testing process to enhance product quality and reduce time to market.
* Work closely with product development, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of new products.
* Act as a liaison between the test department and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
* Generate detailed test reports and summaries for management and stakeholders.
* Maintain comprehensive records of test results and ensure traceability for all V&V activities.

* A Levels or higher in one or more technical subjects such as Mathematics or Engineering.
* Understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies.

* Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electronic products is a plus.
