Air Traffic Engineer – £47,683 - £52,426 depending on skills and experience plus 11% bonus. Based in Warton, Preston. Pension & Enhanced Leave allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays available.
Required experience:
Essential:
1. Engineering qualification to HNC level or equivalent.
2. Experience in fault investigation and rectification and be familiar with telecommunications test equipment.
3. A good understanding of Windows and Linux plus network and data communications knowledge would be beneficial.
4. Experience using some, or all of the following equipment:
* Instrument Landing System
* Distance Measuring Equipment
* Primary Surveillance Radar
* Secondary Surveillance Radar
* Non-Directional Beacon
* Direction Finder
* Radio Transmitters and Receivers
* Voice Communication Control System
My client are a large and rapidly expanding global Defence company looking for an Air traffic Engineer responsible for the maintenance, fault investigation and repair of a wide range of communication and navigational systems used in Air Traffic Control. This will involve the day-to-day management of scheduled maintenance and prioritising faults that may occur for the period of the watch involving both civil and military aircraft.
