The Role and Company:
My client is an established and well-known name within their sector. They are embarking on a digital transformation journey to modernise their business and are setting up a new delivery function within their IT team.
This is a newly created Business Analyst role and will report directly into the Head of Transformation. As the Business Analyst, you will drive requirements gathering and analysis for a variety of projects and initiatives ranging from minor development requests for existing legacy applications to the implementation of new cloud-based SaaS platforms.
This is an office-based role in Telford initially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with business users to understand requirements for enhancing and improving existing legacy systems.
* Document and analyse software applications to identify enhancement opportunities.
* Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers to ensure solutions meet business needs.
* Support the design and delivery of modernised systems by gathering and documenting requirements.
* Conduct workshops, interviews, and other activities to engage stakeholders and define future-state processes.
* Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, IT teams, and senior management.
* Act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical users.
* Support the change management process by ensuring user needs and impacts are considered.
Skills and Experience required:
* Proven experience working as a Business Analyst on IT or digital transformation projects.
* Experience documenting software applications preferably based in .Net and SQL.
* Solid understanding of CRM systems, websites, and financial applications.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to create clear documentation, including business requirements, process maps, and user stories.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Familiarity with legacy systems and modernisation projects is highly desirable.
* Any previous experience of Power BI or data analytics would be great but is not essential.
