Job overview
We are recruiting for a Specialist CT Radiographer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The Centre is a specialist imaging unit (MRI, CT, PET/CT) with a large research commitment which requires highly specialised imaging knowledge. We are closely linked with the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre and a large proportion of the workload is oncology related. The post includes the ability to communicate highly complex information and provide reassurance to patients as well as regular participation in research and clinical trial activities.
This post requires high levels of flexibility and professional autonomy and includes an adaptable rotation through all three imaging modalities in the Centre.
If selected to interview, you will be asked to prepare a short presentation (10 mins) entitled: Discuss the Advantages of Dual Energy CT.

Main duties of the job
The Specialist CT Radiographer position includes opportunities to learn and refine a range of CT imaging skills and participate in research.
Line management opportunities and training will be provided. Full or part-time applications are welcome.
You will be responsible for maintaining high quality and safety standards in CT.
The successful candidate will take part in a 7-day working shift pattern and full or part-time applications are welcome.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
ENHT is seeking to maintain and expand the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre staff as we move to an exciting new future.

In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,314 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata.

Qualifications/Training
* DCR or BSc Diagnostic Radiography
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
Previous Experience
* Experience of a wide range of Imaging equipment
* Demonstration of ability to make decisions and take responsibility
* Evidence of supporting role in day to day management of Imaging Department
* Experience of CT and/or MRI
* Involvement in Audit and Clinical Governance programmes
* Experience of supervising student radiographers and junior members of staff
Skills
* Demonstration of organisational skills at departmental level
* Good verbal and written communication with patients and staff at all levels
* Ability to work effectively in a team
* Student Mentor training
Knowledge
* High standard of imaging skills
* Knowledge of radiation safety issues
* IV cannulation training
* Red Dot (Pattern Recognition) Study Day
Other Requirements
* To be physically capable of positioning patients and moving equipment
* To be flexible with work patterns and be able to work outside of normal core working hours
* Participation in extended working day/week rota
