Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineer
Senior Systems Engineer required to join an existing team working on the development and integration of systems drawing on your electronic and electrical design experience with some mechanical design requirements, followed by testing, integration, commissioning, including drawings and documentation.
You will follow the V-Model (design, requirements, test, verification, and installation) with Quality Management procedures and processes. This role will suit someone with an Engineering degree, over three years of commercial experience, and a broad range of engineering skills who is happy to work autonomously.
The ideal candidate will have UK MOD Defence or key infrastructure experience, including Rail (platform to train systems).
Experience:
1. Schematic capture and simulation in CADStar, Matlab, Multisim, OrCad, or similar.
2. Mechanical and Wiring Design ideally in AutoCAD.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Office, and Project.
4. Commissioning of systems and testing, including type testing, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) along with documentation specifications, Bill of Materials, etc.
Responsibilities:
1. Development and integration of systems for public and restricted infrastructure, MOD, Power, Transport, Defence, Rail, and Air.
2. Provide technical support to sales, business development, and customers.
3. Technical fault finding, problem solving, and bespoke solutions for designs or proposals.
4. Lead production and maintenance teams on projects.
5. Technical investigation, discussion, and understanding of client requirements.
6. Design review process and configuration control.
