Job Description
The study will provide a review of the timing and nature of Jurassic sequence development and structural evolution of the Mid Norway region within the regional context of Atlantic margin rifted seaway development. The aim is to develop predictive tectono-stratigraphic models for reservoir presence and quality, in addition to determining seal/baffle distribution of and potential secondary source intervals.
To undertake this work, two three-year postdoctoral positions are available; this post will focus on the structural development. The PDRA’s will join a vibrant subsurface research community in the School of Geosciences at the University of Aberdeen, which is well respected for its contribution to furthering the geological understanding of the NW European Margin.
Salary will be at Grade 6, £38,249 per annum.
