Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple residential construction projects from costing stage to final delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects independently and will play a crucial role in driving business growth through their existing industry contacts, including architects, interior designers, and new subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-End Project Management: Take full ownership of residential projects from the initial costing phase through to construction and final handover.
* Business Development: Leverage existing industry relationships to generate new business opportunities, including potential leads from architects, designers, and developers.
* Subcontractor & Supplier Management: Bring in and introduce trusted contractors and suppliers to enhance our delivery capabilities.
* Programme & Budget Management: Develop project schedules, manage budgets, track costs, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within financial targets.
* Team Leadership: Manage in-house trades and external subcontractors, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to timelines.
* Client & Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Work alongside our in-house HSE coordinator to ensure all projects meet health and safety standards, ideally bringing relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH or SMSTS.
* Variation & Cost Control: Manage project variations, valuations, invoicing, and margin tracking.
* Technology & Documentation: Utilize Excel, Microsoft Projects, and Dropbox to manage project data and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience managing residential construction projects from start to finish.
* Degree or professional qualification in Project Management, Construction, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of the entire building process, from design to completion.
* Experience in tendering, value engineering, and procurement of materials.
* Proven track record in winning and managing new business opportunities through industry contacts.
* Health & Safety knowledge, with relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH or SMSTS (preferred).
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, able to manage clients, trades, and subcontractors.
* Proficient in project management tools, including Microsoft Projects, Excel, and Dropbox.

* Second Interview: Candidates will be asked to present completed projects, demonstrating their expertise in managing the full project lifecycle. This will include discussing challenges faced, solutions implemented, and overall project outcomes.
