Job summary Sunderland Counselling Service is seeking to employ an experienced Clinical Supervisor to work within the Northumberland Talking Therapies (NTT) service, providing Talking Therapies (TT) compliant supervision for counsellors working at step 3 of the stepped care model. They will be expected to work as an integral part of the clinical management team in the service. The post holder will be supported by regular line management from the SCS Locality Lead within the service, alongside regular supervision and counselling specific management support provided by Sunderland Counselling Service. This post will initially be offered on a 12 month contract subject to a successful probationary period of six months. If hybrid working proves successful and meets service need, this post may then be made permanent. Ideally this post will be delivered in person, but we will permit hybrid working to enable the post holder to offer supervisions remotely alongside attending NTT bases in persons to engage with the clinical and operational management structures of the service where appropriate. This includes but is not limited to, service development days or meetings, training and face to face supervisions according to specific need. The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide Talking Therapies compliant PCE CfD supervision to staff working as counsellors for Sunderland Counselling Service, specifically based within the Northumberland Talking Therapies service. This effective clinical supervision will be offered on a one to one basis as well as group supervision and the post holder may facilitate peer supervision where the service requires it. The successful post holder will hold recognised qualifications in counselling, PCE-CfD and clinical supervision and have significant experience of providing each. Whilst we ideally would like the post holder to have a qualification in PCE-CfD Supervision, we would consider applications from people eligible to undertake the CfD supervisor course and would support the succesful candaidte to undertake this training if necessary.
